Adding a Person of Interest, or "POI" into SOVA involves a few steps. First, we add the POI including his name (if known, physical characteristics, clothing worn, emotional state, etc. Next we add images. SOVA allows you to add 12 library images for the POI, then each time you have an encounter with the POI, you can (and should) add a new encounter image. Finally, you can choose to share the POI with other local area businesses and set an optional "Watch Alert" for the POI. The screen to add a POI is shown below:

Steps to add a POI to SOVA:

1. Navigate to Persons of Interest > Add POI (screen shown above)
   
2. Add required and optional information to the form. Required information includes:
   
   • Threat level - assigning a threat level for the POI allows you to differentiate high threat POI's from others. Additionally, if you add an encounter to a POI who has a threat level of 5 or above, notifications can be sent out to interested parties at your business alerting them to this.
     
   • Gender - choices are male, female or undetermined
     
   • Race - select from a list of choices
     
   • Age - select a range
     
   • Height - select a range
     
   • Weight - select a range
     
3. Choose whether or not to share the POI data with others. Your location retains the right to edit the POI while shared locations can only view the POI
   
4. Save the POI
   
5. Back at the POI listview located at Persons of Interest > List POI, decide whether to add the POI to your "Watch List"
   
6. Optionally, print the POI and post in your office or share with local businesses or law enforcement.
